Tex2Tex™
This material is part of our Fabric of the Future initiative, set up in 2019 to research, develop and invest in innovative materials that are paving the way for the future of fashion.
Tex2Tex™ is crafted using Thermo-Mechanical Reactor™ technology that takes pre-consumer polyester textile and yarn waste and creates recycled polyester fibre. Unlike most recycled polyester that comes from PET bottles, 100% of Tex2Tex™ is derived from textile waste, further reducing reliance on virgin raw materials.
Tex2Tex™ is a trademark of Earth Protex™.
Post-consumer recycling involves collecting, sorting, and recycling items previously used by consumers, while pre-consumer recycling refers to the recycling of waste generated during the manufacturing process, such as scraps, trimmings, and unused materials before they reach the consumer. Fibre-to-fibre recycling refers to a recycling method where textile fibres are transformed into new fibres of the same type.
