Since 2016 we’ve been tracking and compensating our carbon footprint. We work with programs that replace the resources we've spent by way of ‘carbon credits’.
We see it as almost imposing a carbon tax on ourselves and have partnered with CEMAsys and Conservational International to support social projects that promote clean energy and bring positive change to people's lives.
As part of the UN charter for climate action, our goal is to continue to reduce our carbon footprint by 30% for 2030 and find solutions to get to zero CO2 emissions by 2050.
We are actively looking for ways to make our packaging and business less wasteful. We’ve signed the Ellen MacArthur Foundation New Plastics Economy Global Commitment.
By 2025, all our packaging will be reusable, recyclable, or compostable. We’re hoping we can get there sooner (we’ve got 2021 in our sights) and have already removed 6 types of unnecessary plastic packaging and switched to 100% recycled plastic or biodegradable and compostable options.
We’ve started tackling single-use packaging too by offering Repack a reusable packaging that saves up to 80% of CO2 emissions
At GANNI, we incorporate the UN Sustainable Development Goals into our overall strategy focusing on 3 key goals: #5 Gender Equality, #12 Climate Action and #13 Responsible Production and Consumption
