Rooted in Copenhagen, GANNI takes the classics and gives them a twist, and the ballerina is where that shows up best: a familiar shape with something slightly off, a buckle where you didn’t expect one, a lace that climbs the ankle, a sole with a bit of sport to it. Discover the edit across three icons: the vintage-inspired Lace-Up Ballerinas tie up the leg in leopard printed denim, ivory and dark-olive; the studded Jenny Ballerina brings the hardware; and the graphic Sporty Ballerina adds a chunkier sole. Snug rather than loose is the general rule for a flat: it should stay on without pinching, with room at the toe. Sizing and fit notes for each of our Ballerinas are on its product page.
There are no rules. Bare, a sheer sock, a ribbed one or a chunky sports sock all work. Our Sporty Ballerina and its graphic sole take a visible sock happily.
