The heels edit

Heels, the GANNI height

GANNI heels are made to be walked in and noticed. A kitten heel that goes with everything, a buckled mule, a sabot, a chunky open pump, the kind of height that finishes a look without slowing you down.

The edit runs from the Melissa Thong Kitten Heel, low and easy in brown, red and leopard, to the Lace-Up and Sue Heeled Mules in Oleatex, the June Sabot and the Chunky Buckle Pump. Some, like the mules, come in Oleatex, our olive-oil leather alternative. From $150.

A good heel is the one you actually wear, so ours lean wearable: kitten heights, block heels and mules over anything teetering. We name what each pair is made from on its product page.

FAQ

The kitten heel has become the go-to height: enough lift to feel done, low enough to last all day. Our Melissa Thong Kitten Heel is the easy everyday version.

Black and brown are the safe pair, but a burgundy or a leopard kitten heel works almost as widely and reads more interesting. Treat the print as a neutral.

Lower and blockier is the trick: a kitten or block heel spreads the weight better than a stiletto. Our heels lean to wearable heights for exactly that.

Several, including the Lace-Up and Sue Heeled Mules, come in Oleatex, our olive-oil-press leather alternative; others use recycled leather. Each page lists the make-up.

A backless heel you slip on, open at the heel with a closed or strapped toe. Easy to wear, easy to take off, and one of the season's most-worn shapes.

A kitten mule or a block heel keeps jeans relaxed but lifts the look. Skip anything too formal; the point is ease.

A kitten or low block, roughly two to five centimetres, is the sweet spot for all-day wear. We cut most of the edit in that range.

Almost anything. Cropped or wide jeans, a slip or mini dress, tailored trousers with a visible ankle. Let the shoe's detail, a buckle or a lace, be the finishing note.
