FABRICS OF THE FUTURE
Our 'Fabrics of The Future' initiative was set up to research, develop and invest in innovative and preferred materials that are alternatives to virgin materials. Discover innovative materials like Celium™ by Polybion and Savian by BioFluff who are paving the way to pioneering material alternatives and a circular fashion industry. Designing with these materials helps us get closer on our journey to a 50% absolute carbon reduction by 2027.
CIRCULOSE®
CIRCULOSE® is the branded dissolving pulp created by Renewcell that is made from 100% recycled textiles — such as worn-out cotton jeans and cotton production scraps – and is recyclable again and again. It is a Next Gen material with a high-quality look and feel that is used to make viscose, lyocell and other types of man-made cellulosic fibers.
Founded by innovators from Stockholm’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2012, Renewcell is the award-winning, Swedish sustain-tech company with a vision to make fashion circular.
Savian by BioFluff
Savian by BioFluff is a highly innovative, next-generation faux fur. Made in Italy, it is 100% plant based and GMO free. It is made using natural plant fibres such as nettle, hemp and flax, approximately 50% of which can be sourced from agricultural waste streams, as well as zero petrochemicals. It is made to replace both animal fur and synthetic faux fur that sheds micro-plastic particles with every wash, filling water and air streams that are ingested by both wildlife and humans.
