The Marsha P. Johnson Institute
The Marsha P. Johnson Institute Marsha P. Johnson was an activist, self-identified drag queen, performer, and survivor. She was a prominent key figure in the Stonewall uprising of 1969 - the origins of all modern queer liberation movements. The Marsha P. Institute intends to reclaim Marsha P. Johnson’s life and legacy and was founded to help protect and defend the lives and human rights of Black transgender people.

is a community organization that raises money to assist with Black transgender people’s rent, living expenses, medical needs and gender affirmative surgeries.
